- You should enter the name of the merchant which would in most cases be the issuer of the gift card you have and the card number. Then you should enter the count of gift cards that you have. You may choose to exchange more than one gift card at a time. You should follow that up with the card balance or amount of money as mentioned in the gift card. It is possible that some gift cards have a remaining balance after you have used some or they may be completely unused. If you are opting for multiple cards exchange, then you should enter the cumulative value or the total sum of money for all the gift cards or their corresponding balances. Once you have furnished these details, you will get an offer from Wal-Mart gift card exchange program. After receiving the offer, you may decide to go for it or you may not wish to proceed.
- Usually, you would get around 90% of the value of your gift card through the Wal-Mart gift card that will be issued to you. The amount could be as high as 97% or much lower than 90%. That would depend on the agreement Wal-Mart has in place with the issuer of your gift card.
